Animation: Sakura Flowers

Whilst designing the Textures for Online Worlds website I felt that the current design setup would benefit from a tasteful bit of flash.

These Sakura flowers were originally two .png images and therefore were ideal for overlaying as a flash animation using z-index to layer them correctly.

Animation: Spartacus Contruction Logo

The logo for this Essex Construction company website was originally a static image.

Due to this design, the static banner was animated it to give the site a nice boost in visual appeal.

Interactive: Soundboards

During summer 2007 I was experimenting with Flash interactivity. With the popularity of Soundboards already established and my peak of interest in Flash I wanted to build one of my own but didn't know a suitable or unique enough source to use.

An idea came when I remembered a character from Warcraft 3 which a friend would quote, a rifleman who used various funny and film based phrases. During a search for a way to extract the sounds from the game CD, I found out that the same voice actor had an extended line of quotes in the game World of Warcraft, so I got the free trial download and extracted those sounds in the same way (some were the same), and extended the Soundboard.

After the success of the first soundboard, I created a smaller one of similar style but with a focus on an animated background. It was quite tricky extracting the animation from the game, using Fraps to record after modifying a game map to include the objects, then carefully cutting it to loop.
